Applications now open for Curious Peer Moderator Training

Applications are now open for queer young people interested in becoming online Curious Peer Moderators. The Training will happen in Dunedin on June 5 and again in Wellington on June 12.

AIMS

The training is designed to provide the tools needed to be a moderator on curious.org.nz as well as give some exposure to online media and communications as a possible career path. It introduces concepts, principles and techniques related to both youth work and online communications.

OBJECTIVES

1. To gain a deeper understanding of online media and communications as an area of further study or possible career path
2. To understand how to communicate appropriately online
3. To understand the nature of the youth work relationship
4. To get to know each other more so that you can stay connected and act as conduits of information between young people, queer youth groups and curious.org.nz.
