Youth’07 Make Your Opinion Count

Youth’07 Make Your Opinion Count

This is your final chance to provide feedback on the Youth'07: Results for Young People Attracted to the Same Sex or Both Sexes. Please provide your feedback by Friday 5 March 2010.

We are inviting a range of ideas about the best response to these findings that can include all young people as well as queer young people or young people who represent the full range of sexualities and genders.

The questions to guide your feedback are

  1. What could youth workers and youth work organisations (including queer youth organisations) do to support same-sex and both-sex attracted or queer young people?
  2. How could schools better serve same-sex and both-sex attracted or queer young people?
  3. What could health professionals and health-care providers do to improve the quality of their services and access to them for this diverse group?
  4. How can whānau of same-sex and both-sex attracted or queer young people be supported and what can they do to be more supportive of same-sex and both-sex attracted or queer young people?

How do I submit my feedback?

Submitting your recommendations is easy. Simply complete the form on Rainbow Youth's website

How will my suggestions be used?

All recommendations submitted are confidential and any information used will not identify you personally. Rainbow Youth and the New Zealand AIDS Foundation will compile all the feedback received and will use these to create one set of recommendations that can be used to guide queer youth development both regionally and nationally. We expect to have these recommendations ready for distribution by June 2010.
