Hey everyone!
Q-Youth Nelson has been upto sooo much the last month! and have a few more things coming up too, so i though id share.
Firstly, on the 11 of june we had a social exclusion workshop which was very well attended. There was of course q youth members and school diversty group members but we also had school peer mediators and councilors from high schools in the Nelson,Tasman region and a spy from Marlborough 
. We got fantastic responses form everyone and schools in the Marlborough region are looking to take the workshop there.
THe following weekend we had our Uber Happiness Hui at Autumn Farm! and it was an amazing experience for all!
Using the social exclusion workshop as an opportunity to register people we managed to get people from ALL the regions school diverity groups and q youth Marlborough, and a handfull of amazing people from Wellington. The whole thing was a fantastic start to our bringing together of youth, queer and straight. We had some awesome workshops that all turned into a fantastic collation of opinions ans ideas, it was all a very inspiring, intimate and extremly empowreing experience. Near the end we had a quick now and then session with the residents of Autumn Farm. They told us abouth thier coming out stories and we told them some of ours and its was a good learning experience for us and them.
So over all it was a hugly amazing time and we all look foward to our next one (six monthy is our plan, just secretly) :D
We have a fundraising dinner coming up, so that will be a great opportunity to get parents and schools, ect, informed and involved in whats happining and to raise a bit of money.
Were working on having regular “Now and Then” meeting (thanks to rainbow youth whos ideas we’ve nabbed 
) were we get toghether with the other, older groups around Nelson to share stories and make some new friends.
We also have our pride week and our ball which are near the end of the year but they arnt even on the agenda at the moment but definatly something to look foward to!
And last but definatly not least!! is our new drop in center which is in it slow delevopment stages.
We have A collating ideas workshop coming up on the 3rd of July 10am till 1pm for anybody and everybody to come along and put together some ideas for the design of the centre, so if you have some great ideas definatly come along.
and our weekly wednesday meetings from 3 till 6 at the cebtre located in next to the new hub.
