Breaking Up

Have you experienced a break-up?

Sometimes it doesn’t work out and it's time to separate, break-up, or move out.

 

Here are some suggestions that may help...

  1. Make a separation plan together about how you are both going to deal with the finances, living arrangements or any children or pets
  2. Make a weekly schedule and stick to it!
  3. Add in some self-care activities like exercise, meditation, meeting up with friends, going for a massage
  4. Talk to someone you trust, a friend or a counsellor about your feelings
  5. Keep an emotional distance from your ex-partner or the person you are having a problem with, to allow yourself time to heal and sever the emotional connection
  6. Be strong! You left for a reason and you will be ok living on your own. You can do it!
